These terms govern your use of productivitytech.io. By browsing the site, downloading a template or tool, subscribing to the newsletter or sending a message through the contact form, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

The content is information, not advice

Articles, guides, reviews and tutorials here describe how I work and what I have tested myself. They are published for general information. They are not professional, legal, financial, security or medical advice, and they are not a substitute for advice tailored to your situation.

Software, prices, plans and interfaces change quickly. Content is accurate to the best of my knowledge on the date of publication or last update, and may be out of date by the time you read it. Verify anything that matters against the vendor’s own documentation before you rely on it.

Tutorials on this site sometimes involve running commands, installing software or changing system settings. You do so at your own risk. Back up your data first.

Affiliate links and commercial relationships

Some pages contain affiliate links. If you buy or subscribe after clicking one, I may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are disclosed in the article that contains them, and the details are described in the privacy policy.

Reviews reflect my own experience as a paying user or hands-on tester. A commercial relationship with a vendor does not buy a positive verdict, and drafts are not sent to vendors for approval before publication. Where a product has been supplied free of charge or a post is sponsored, that is stated in the post itself.

Products, tools and downloads

The tools listed on the products page are currently free, and several are open source. Where a tool has its own licence — for example on GitHub — that licence governs your use of it and takes precedence over these terms.

Free tools and templates are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Some of them connect to third-party services (for example Notion, Garmin, Strava or OpenAI) and require you to supply your own account or API key. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, their pricing and their privacy policies, not by these terms. Any API costs you incur are yours.

No payments are taken on this site. If paid products are introduced later, separate purchase terms will apply and will be presented before you buy.

Links to other sites

This site links to third-party websites and services. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content, their availability, their pricing or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the text, images, illustrations and design of productivitytech.io are owned by Fjellestad AS and protected by copyright.

You may read, print and share the content for your own personal or internal professional use, and you may quote short excerpts if you credit productivitytech.io and link to the original article. You may not republish articles in full, sell the content, present it as your own, or use it to train machine learning models without written permission.

Code samples in articles may be used freely in your own projects unless the article says otherwise. Product names, logos and trademarks belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Acceptable use

When using this site you agree not to:

• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system;
• interfere with the site’s availability, for example through automated request floods or denial-of-service attempts;
• scrape or bulk-download the content for republication or for training machine learning models;
• send unlawful, abusive, misleading or spam content through the contact form or newsletter signup;
• submit someone else’s email address to the newsletter without their permission.

What you send me

If you send a message, a suggestion or feedback, you keep ownership of it, but you allow me to read it, store it and act on it — including implementing an idea or fixing something you pointed out — without owing you compensation. Do not send confidential information or credentials through the contact form. How submissions are stored is described in the privacy policy.

Availability

The site is offered as available. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted access, and articles, tools and pages may be changed, moved or removed at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Fjellestad AS is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, its content or its free tools — including lost data, lost profit, lost working time or damage caused by following a guide published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under Norwegian law, including mandatory consumer protection rules.

Privacy

How this site handles personal data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site develops. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be brought before the Norwegian courts. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules in your country of residence.
